Rusev’s Reaction To The Rock’s Non-PG Remark About His Wife

How did Rusev really react when The Rock got a bit too personal about his wife?

On an episode of Raw all the way back in January 2016, The Rock was back in WWE and was his usual bombastic self. The People’s Champion often got away with saying things that those full-time members of the roster just would not get away with, and was up to his old tricks when he came across Rusev and Lana, pointing out how flexible the Ravishing Russian was.

Rusev Took The Rock’s Comment & Ran With It

Now speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Lana has revealed how Rusev really reacted to the comment about his real-life wife and how it sparked something inside him:

The funniest thing about all that is both me and The Rock had to try so hard not to laugh when Rusev came into the shot. He just plays that character so well and he kind of pops me. So me and Dwayne were like trying not to crack when he’s like standing there. It’s cool because him saying I was flexible is what led to Miro coming up with the hot and flexible wife and he’s like, ‘If people are going to say that about you, we’re going to freaking own it.

In recent weeks, Lana also revealed that Rusev served her divorce papers on her birthday before the two reconciled and continued their relationship.

The Rock has not been seen in WWE since Elimination Chamber 2025, when he presided over John Cena’s shock heel turn and a brutal beating of Cody Rhodes.
