Rumour Killer Regarding The Rock Appearing At Major WWE Show

The Rock WWE NXT

The Rock is likely not appearing at an upcoming WWE PLE.

At the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE in Toronto, The Rock appeared at the end of the show with Travis Scott. The WWE Champion Cody Rhodes went on to tell Rock, “Go f**k yourself,” and it appeared as if John Cena approved of what Rhodes said.

After Rhodes and Cena shared a hug, Rock did a throat slash gesture to Cena, who went on to kick Rhodes in the groin, and it led to Cena’s first heel turn in WWE in over 20 years. While many people expected Rock at WrestleMania 41, he did not appear, and has not appeared at any WWE shows since Elimination Chamber in March.

Away from WWE, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has garnered significant attention for his recent weight loss as he continues to focus on his acting career.

There is also Oscar buzz related to Rock’s role in the upcoming film “The Smashing Machine,” in which Rock stars as former MMA fighter Mark Kerr.

It was noted by Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp that there are AI-generated stories about The Rock appearing at WWE Survivor Series, but according to the report, “nobody in WWE has heard that,” so it’s likely just a false rumour.

The Rock Is Proud Of His Daughter Ava In WWE

During a recent interview, The Rock spoke about his daughter Ava thriving as the NXT General Manager. Ava has been part of WWE since early 2020 and originally trained to be a wrestler, but the 24-year-old has thrived as the NXT GM for nearly two years since January 2024.

Oh man, I’m so proud of her. I got it. I’m gonna lock in. I’m so proud of her. It’s what I did, you know, and I love what I did. I love wrestling, grew up in wrestling. She was born into it, too, just like I was. And she said, ‘Hey, I wanna do what you do.’ but the difference is it’s like, it’s why I get emotional, cause she’s like, ‘I wanna do what you do, but I wanna carve my own path.’

As he continued, Rock mentioned that his daughter never asked for his influence to help her WWE career.

“That’s a difference. That was a big deal when I heard that, you know, because it’s easy I think for, you know, for any kid who wants to come up and do what their parents are doing to, maybe it’s not overt, but to utilize the influence. I’m telling you, you know, it never happened. I never got that call. Like, ‘Hey, can you call someone? Could do that.’ I never got that call and that’s the truth.

And that’s the thing that makes me proud. So, that’s why I’m like, when you don’t get that call. Look, I would have been there anyway. I would have made that call. But when you don’t get it, it gave me a profound sense of pride cause I, ‘Oh, I helped, with her mom, raise an amazing human being.’”
