Rumour Killer On Drew McIntyre’s WWE Contract
What next for Drew McIntyre?
Drew McIntyre’s future has been the subject of an incredible level of speculation for almost a year. It’s previously been reported that the star and WWE were a long way apart on money, while it was suggested he could take a break from the ring.
As a result of time added on for injury, McIntyre’s contract runs out shortly after WrestleMania, but it’s believed the star is likely to stay put. This sparked speculation that McIntyre had actually signed a new contract to remain with WWE.
However, a new report from Alex McCarthy for the Daily Mail has reiterated that McIntyre hasn’t signed a new contract. McCarthy adds that talks aren’t close to being finalised, but both sides are hopeful an agreement will be reached.
Dave Meltzer Claims Drew McIntyre “Isn’t Going Anywhere”
Despite his contract status being somewhat uncertain, McIntyre has been prominently featured on television and looks set for a high-profile feud with CM Punk when he returns from injury.
Although the contract stalemate continues, Dave Meltzer surmised that “it’s clear” Drew McIntyre isn’t going anywhere.
The Scottish star was most recently in action at Elimination Chamber where he won the match of the same name, booking himself a shot at Seth Rollins and the World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania 40.
