Mysterio, 51, was on a hiatus from WWE in 2025 due to a torn groin injury suffered just before WrestleMania 41, which forced him out of his scheduled Mania match.
He returned to action in November 2025 and recently faced Logan Paul in a singles match on the December 15 edition of Monday Night RAW.
He was attacked by the mystery man, who turned out to be Austin Theory.
