Rumor Killer On WWE’s Plans For Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins WWE World Heavyweight Champion

Seth Rollins is on top of the world in WWE as the new World Heavyweight Champion but he could be dodging a major bullet according to a new report.

Rollins added more gold to his illustrious career at Night of Champions when he defeated AJ Styles to become the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The title was introduced due to Roman Reigns’ status on SmackDown so that Monday Night Raw has someone considered at the world champion level.

While the internet went ablaze with rumors of Seth Rollins’ next opponent, it seems that plans might not work out the way people expect.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer ruled out the possibility that Brock Lesnar could be Rollins’ first challenger:

“They are doing another (Brock Lesnar vs Cody Rhodes) match, I don’t know if it’ll be in London (Money in the Bank) or it’ll be in Detroit (SummerSlam), but they are doing another match.

“And I did check and there is nothing in the cards right now for Lesnar with Seth Rollins. They could do it later, but there is nothing in the plans right now. It’s just Lesnar with Cody.”

On Monday Night Raw following his defeat to Lesnar Cody Rhodes issued an open challenge to The Beast Incarnate signaling that the feud between those two men is far from done.
