Rumor Killer On Keith Lee Walking Out Of AEW
A new report puts to bed rumors that Keith Lee walked out of AEW.
Keith Lee was scheduled to have a match on the August 18th episode of Rampage that was taped immediately following the August 16th episode of Dynamite. However, the match never took place, and speculation began to run rampant that the star had walked out of the company.
However, according to a new report from Fightful Select, rumors of Keith Lee’s discontent have been greatly exaggerated and are simply a matter of miscommunication on the day of the taping. The report notes that Lee was present for the tapings on August 16th, but that at some point, he was informed he wasn’t going to be used on Dynamite. Lee left the building, believing he wasn’t needed.
Lee was reportedly booked for Rampage later that evening, but that information wasn’t communicated to him before he left the venue, so the card was adjusted.
According to Fightful Select, there is no heat between Keith Lee and AEW over the incident, and sources close to the situation indicated that it was blown out of proportion on social media. Those who spoke to Fightful didn’t indicate blame on either side.
The report also states that Keith Lee is present for the August 23rd tapings of AEW Dynamite and Collision.
When Did Keith Lee Last Wrestle In AEW?
Lee’s most recent bout in All Elite Wrestling came on the August 4th episode of Rampage, where he teamed with The Hardys to defeat the team of Kip Sabian, The Butcher, and The Blade.
