Special Rules Announced For Hotly-Anticipated AEW Title Match
The rules of combat have been set for AEW Revolution.
As the February 22 episode of Collision began, Toni Storm was violently assaulted by Mariah May backstage. May battered the Women’s World Champion all the way onto the stage and delivered a vicious headbutt followed by a Storm Zero.
As May cradled the broken body of her rival, she promised to give her a Hollywood ending at Revolution on March 9.
Fast forward seven days, and a video aired of Storm laid up in a hospital bed. In the clip, Storm said spending time in the hospital had given her a chance to think before agreeing to face May one more time. However, the match will have no rope breaks, no disqualification, no count outs, and falls count anywhere.
Storm regained the Women’s Title from May with an emotional win at Grand Slam Australia. In the process, Storm became the first woman to hold the title four times.
