Planned Ronda Rousey Spot Cancelled Over AEW Fears
Ronda Rousey has revealed which spot, suggested by her, won’t be happening in her match with Liv Morgan over fears they’ll be slammed for copying AEW!
Don’t expect to see Legos used during Ronda Rousey and Liv Morgan’s Extreme Rules match at the namesake pay-per-view.
This is according to ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ herself, as Rousey claimed during a livestream on her YouTube channel that she’s worried they’ll be accused of copying a similar spot from All Elite Wrestling. Rousey revealed this in response to a fan suggesting she throw toys at Morgan:
“I suggested Legos but apparently, AEW did that recently and we didn’t want people to think we’re copying. But I wanted to.”
AEW has used Legos for an array of spots in the past, though they’re certainly not the first to do so. Comparisons could be drawn, but this wouldn’t necessarily be a case of WWE stealing ideas from AEW.
Ronda Rousey has previously discussed the idea of using Legos in her impending Extreme Rules showdown with Liv Morgan, claiming how she wanted to make the defending SmackDown Women’s Champion walk across them barefoot. Instead, she’ll have to make do with chairs, kendo sticks, and other WWE-approved items.
WWE Extreme Rules is scheduled for Saturday, 8 October from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
