Ronda Rousey Believes Her Second WWE Run Has Been Easier
Ronda Rousey has commented that her second run in WWE has been easier for her because she is more used to things this time around.
When Ronda Rousey returned to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2022 Royal Rumble, she did so just four months after giving birth. Rousey would go on to win that Royal Rumble match to earn a shot at the Smackdown Women’s Title at WrestleMania 38. While Rousey failed to win the title at that show due to a controversial ending, she would win the championship from Charlotte Flair one month later at WrestleMania Backlash.
That first Smackdown Women’s Title reign by Rousey was a short one due to Liv Morgan cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase/contract on her in June. However, Rousey won the title back from Morgan in an Extreme Rules Match in October and is now positioned as the top women’s heel on the Smackdown brand.
During Rousey’s first run in WWE starting at Royal Rumble 2018 and ending at WrestleMania 35 in 2019, she had a dominant run as the Raw Women’s Champion for 231 days.
On a recent episode of her “Ronda On The Road” Youtube series, Rousey explained why she is more comfortable this time around in WWE.
“I think this run is easier because I kind of know how things work around here and I’ve kind of paid up more of my dues.”
“I have put enough time here that they’ll at least hear me out and explain to me why I’m wrong if I am, you know, and that way I learned something.”
Since winning the Smackdown Women’s Title for the second time, Rousey has also been aligned with one of her best friends, former Women’s Tag Team Champion Shayna Baszler. The duo will make it tough on opponents that will attempt to pry that coveted championship from Rousey in the months ahead.
