Ronda Rousey Match Confirmed For WWE Elimination Chamber
Following the latest episode of SmackDown, WWE has announced that former Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey will be competing at Elimination Chamber.
On the latest edition of SmackDown, WWE official Adam Pearce announced that Vince McMahon had decided to end Sonya Deville’s actions against Naomi, who was scheduled to face Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship later in the night.
McMahon’s email to Pearce said that Deville’s job would be in jeopardy if she continued with her vendetta and interfered in the title match. This led to Naomi making her way to the ring and got a small measure of revenge for the previous few months by slapping her.
In the main event, Naomi was unable to overcome Charlotte Flair and failed to recapture the title. Sonya Deville immediately entered the ring to verbally unload on the defeated star, however, Naomi went on the offensive and attacked Deville.
Flair came back to the ring to help Deville and the pair teamed up on Naomi. It was then that Ronda Rousey’s music hit and she ran to the ring to make the save, sending the two packing to end the show.
Following the show, WWE announced on social media that Rousey and Naomi will be teaming up at Elimination Chamber in Saudi Arabia to take on Sonya Deville and Charlotte Flair.

Ronda Rousey returned to WWE after almost three years away from the ring when she was a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. Entering the women’s Rumble match at number 28, the former Raw Women’s Champion took out four women before winning the bout and claiming her spot in the main event of WrestleMania 38.
Rousey made it known on the February 4th edition of the blue brand that she would be challenging Charlotte Flair at the ‘Showcase of the Immortals’, with the former UFC star setting her sights on the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
