Ronda Rousey Makes Shock ROH Debut

Former Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey might be done with WWE but she’s showing no signs of being done with pro wrestling.

Ronda Rousey burst into WWE in 2018 after single-handedly changing the face of MMA forever as she led the women’s revolution in that sport. Rousey continued to make history in WWE when became one of three women along with Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to be the first to headline WrestleMania in 2019.

Rousey took time away from the company to have her first child before returning at the 2022 Royal Rumble which led to her winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship twice. In 2023, Ronda Rousey switched her focus to tag team wrestling as she paired up with long-time friend Shayna Baszler. With Ronda Rousey’s time in WWE winding down, Baszler turned on her leading to an MMA Rules match between the two women at SummerSlam which Baszler won.

Ronda Rousey Appears On Tony Khan’s TV

Since leaving WWE, Rousey has teamed up with another of the MMA Four Horsewomen Marina Shafir on independent shows. Now that partnership has made it onto Ring of Honor ar Rousey was revealed as Shafir’s surprise partner to take on ROH Women’s Champion Athena and Billie Starkz. The match will air on HonorClub on November 23.

Ring of Honor is owned by AEW owner Tony Khan which has led many to wonder if Rousey could be on her way to becoming All Elite. Tony Khan has promised a top wrestling star will sign with AEW at Full Gear, whether or not that is Rousey remains to be seen.
