Ronda Rousey Breaks Silence After Losing At SummerSlam
With Shayna Baszler picking up the win at SummerSlam, Ronda Rousey doesn’t feel she needs to be in WWE any more.
Having made the move from MMA to WWE, ‘Rowdy’ Ronda Rousey set about a very distinguished career, which included headlining WrestleMania 35 alongside Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair, as well as two reigns as SmackDown Women’s Champion and one time holding the red brand’s gold.
There had been talk that Ronda Rousey was going to be making a move away from WWE, with storylines reportedly accelerated to aid her exit. The first part of this came to a head at Money In The Bank, when she was attacked by friend and tag partner Shayna Baszler, costing the pair the Women’s Tag Team Championships to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.
The pair then faced off at SummerSlam with ‘The Queen Of Spades’ picking up the victory, leaving her opponent laying in the ring.
“I Got No Reason To Stay”
Now in a post on social media, Ronda Rousey has broken her silence about the loss, and it seems like it’s the finale and she won’t be in WWE for the foreseeable future.
@qosbaszler you were the reason I got into this business… Now I got no reason to stay
After ‘The Hottest Show Of The Summer’ it was reported that it was “farewell for now” for Rousey. This doesn’t mean that the door is completely closed on a return to the squared circle, however it’s not like there’s anything concrete in this kind of scenario. The Instagram post certainly suggests that there would be no immediate reason to return.
