Ronda Rousey Shockingly Betrayed At Money In The Bank

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have been dominating the WWE women’s division since teaming up but it looks like that partnership and friendship is over.

Rousey and Baszler had been expected to challenge for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania but a change of plan instead saw them win a four-way WrestleMania Showcase match.

Title success for Rousey and Baszler did come, however, after Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan were forced to vacate the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship due to an injury suffered by Morgan. They solidified their place at the top of WWE’s women’s tag team division one month later on the 23rd of June when they defeated Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn to unify the WWE and NXT Women’s Tag Team Titles.

At Money In The Bank, Liv Morgan was back from her short time on the shelf to team with Rodriguez and attempt to win back the title they never lost. With the match apparently nearing its end, Rousey confronted Morgan who had just been severely weakened by Baszler.

To the surprise of everyone, not least Liv Morgan, Shayna Baszler attacked Ronda Rousey from behind before locking in the Kirifuda Clutch on her own partner. Baszler then abandoned Rousey, leaving her at the mercy of Rodriguez and Morgan who picked up the win to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions once again.
