Why Didn’t Ron Killings Mention John Cena In Emotional WWE RAW Promo

Ron Killings R-Truth WWE

Ron Killings made an impactful appearance on WWE RAW.

Ron Killings (FKA R-Truth) showed up on WWE RAW to send out an emotional message. The fans were surprised by his actions and his not mentioning John Cena. Vince Russon explained why that happened.

While Becky Lynch made her way through the crowd while running away from Bayley, R-Truth hopped onto the announce table to address the WWE Universe. In his promo, he called himself Ron Killings and went on to cut his hair and promise a reformed version of himself in the future.

On Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion Of RAW, Vince Russo addressed Ron Killings’ promo. He explained why John Cena was not referenced in the promo because the 53-year-old was using a script written by WWE creative, while the seventeen-time champion is writing his own. He also explained that there won’t be a storyline between the two, and Truth’s attack on Cena was to generate a pop.

“Because Cena’s doing and saying what he wants to say and Truth is getting scripted by the writers. I don’t think it meant anything at all [about Truth attacking Cena] because that was just for a pop. They’re not going nowhere with it.”

Why Was Ron Killings (R-Truth) Brought Back To Cost John Cena His Match At Money In The Bank?

On June 1st, Ron Killings let the WWE Universe know that the company had decided not to renew his contract. Since then, the fans were outraged and hijacked WWE shows with “we want Truth” chants. At Money In The Bank, R-Truth returned and attacked Cena, allowing Cody Rhodes to pin his WrestleMania 41 opponent.

At the post-show Press Conference, Cody Rhodes told the WWE Universe that their demands made management change their decision and get Truth back on the promotion.
