Roman Reigns’ WWE SmackDown Status Revealed
Should WWE fans expect to see Roman Reigns back on SmackDown very soon?
Roman Reigns was last in action in WWE at Clash in Paris when he defeated Bronson Reed. After that bout, however, Reed and his partner in The Vision, Bron Breakker, decimated Reigns, leaving him to be taken out of the arena on a stretcher.
In reality, Roman Reigns needed time off to film his role in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. This was the same reason Cody Rhodes was written off TV with an attack by Drew McIntyre. Rhodes returned to retain his WWE Championship against McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza. And now it seems that Reigns could be back in the ring soon.
Roman Reigns Not Heading To SmackDown
PWInsider reported that Roman Reigns has finished his Street Fighter filming and could be back in action anytime now. Fightful Select has confirmed the report that Reigns has finished up his filming commitments on Street Fighter, but noted that the star is not expected to be back for the September 26th edition of SmackDown.
In Reigns’ absence, The Usos have taken the fight to The Vision but lost out to Breakker and Reed at Wrestlepalooza. That match came to an impromptu end when Jey Uso injured himself with a steel chair and had to be helped out of the ring.
