Roman Reigns WWE Retirement On The Horizon
Roman Reigns is about to compete in his tenth WrestleMania main event, but it seems he now has one eye on leaving WWE behind him.
Roman Reigns will face both Seth Rollins and CM Punk in his tenth WrestleMania main event. Over the past few years, Reigns has reached the apex of his WWE career with a historic title reign despite becoming something of a part-timer in the company. Although Roman Reigns has fired back at accusations of being a part-time star.
But it seems in the near future, part-time could become full-time retirement as he eyes up following in his cousin, The Rock’s, footsteps.
Roman Reigns Eyeing WWE Retirement
Speaking to Vanity Fair, Roman Reigns made clear when he plans on hanging up his wrestling boots, and it seems WWE fans won’t have their Tribal Chief for too much longer:
After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max. Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.
It’s made clear in the article that Reigns’ current deal with WWE expires shortly after WrestleMania 42 in 2026. That could mean 2028’s WrestleMania could be Reigns’ swansong if he sticks with his current timeline, when Reigns would be just 42. Although, as everyone knows in the wrestling business, retirement is a very flexible term.
