Roman Reigns’ Surprising Declaration On WWE RAW Allegedly Confirms Character Change
For years, Roman Reigns has ruled WWE as a dominant heel.
When Reigns embraced the role of the Tribal Chief and leader of The Bloodline, he carried himself with unwavering arrogance, rarely showing gratitude or acknowledging anyone else. Supreme confidence and self-praise defined his persona, often dismissing others.
However, this week’s WWE RAW brought a surprising turn in his character. He openly acknowledged the fans for their support, recognizing that they played a key role in his position at the top of WWE.
This genuine moment of appreciation marked a stark contrast to his previous attitude and has led many to believe that Roman Reigns may be making a full transition to a babyface character.
Sam Roberts Believes Roman Reigns Has Turned Babyface
Speaking on the recent episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts expressed his thoughts on Reigns’ unexpected change. He stated that the OTC, expressing his gratitude to the fans, was out of his usual heel character, and therefore surprised him.
He said, “Roman Reigns did something that actually surprised me. Roman Reigns said, ‘I’m the Tribal Chief only because’ and I’m thinking Roman’s going to say because of me, because of my family, because of what I did, because they still acknowledge me.’ And he’s pointing to the audience.”
“And I go, ‘We’ve seen it. This is full like he’s not changing who he is. He’s not changing what the character is, but as if there was any question, he’s full-on babyface.’ Like not, you know, in between, not a babyface due to circumstance. I mean, full-on embrace the crowd. Thank you for your support. Kiss the babyface. And that’s that. That surprised me that he was like kind of taking a moment to give because he would never give credit to anyone but himself,” he added. [12:12 onwards]
Reigns challenged Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed to a tag team match at SummerSlam, which Paul Heyman accepted. The Head of the Table will have his right-hand man, Jey Uso, on his side.
