Roman Reigns Chosen As Opponent If WWE Hall Of Famer Had One More Match

Roman Reigns is the chosen one for a WWE Hall of Famer.

It was in September 2021 when WWE Hall of Famer Paul “Triple H” Levesque underwent a procedure to repair a heart issue. It was a scary situation, obviously, but Triple H was able to recover from it and come back as strong as ever to lead WWE as the Chief Content Officer.

The last time Triple H wrestled was in June 2019 when he teamed up with Shinsuke Nakamura at a WWE live event in Tokyo to beat Robert Roode and Samoa Joe.

In Triple H’s last WrestleMania main event match, he defended the WWE World Championship against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 32 in 2016 in Dallas. It wasn’t a great match, and the fans didn’t love Reigns as the babyface, but it was a classic case of a veteran like Triple H putting over the younger guy Reigns in a big match.

During an appearance on ABC’s Good Morning America, Triple H was asked if he could step back into the ring for one more match and who he would want to face. After dismissing the talk of a comeback, The Game went with Roman Reigns.

“If I got back in at this point I’d be wrestling Father Time is what I’d be doing. Nobody, mostly me, wants to see me back in the ring. I think in this moment right now, a current superstar, if I could go back in time and do what I did at my peak, it would be Roman Reigns.

He’s a great guy, incredible talent, incredible performer. Out making movies right now, still a WWE Superstar, but branching out into Hollywood. He’s gonna be massive.”

Roman Reigns Named Greatest WWE Rival Of Cody Rhodes

The name of the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns was also mentioned by Cody Rhodes when he was asked to name his greatest WWE feud. Considering Cody and Roman headlined three separate nights of WrestleMania (one at WM39 in 2023 and twice at WM40 in 2024), it’s definitely the right answer from Rhodes.

“In my career for sure is gonna be Roman Reigns. Roman Reigns held the center of all of wrestling for a while when I went out there and did everything and tried to make as much noise, create all kinds of different worlds for myself, he held the center, he was WWE’s guy, and he stayed their guy.”

“Whereas I came in as a disruptor, and I feel like no matter how you look at it, wrestling is as real as it gets, or you just look at it as the show. That competition between us is filled with respect, but that’s the one I have to keep an eye out for, even as WWE Champion. Roman, any day can step in and be the face of the company. We just did a movie together, which is crazy, the fact that we’re in this movie. Roman keeps me on my toes, and I hope he’s around for years to come. I need a Roman Reigns.”

Roman Reigns is currently off WWE television for several weeks due to filming scenes in the Street Fighter movie.
