Roman Reigns Reveals Unselfish Reason He Refuses To Fly Commercial With WWE

Roman Reigns has opened up about why he flies on a private plane, rather than commercial, for WWE shows.

As WWE’s Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns is one of the biggest WWE superstars of all time, and he’s obviously going to be a Hall of Famer one day. At 40 years old, Reigns is a 6-time WWE World Champion and has already headlined WrestleMania more than anybody else in company history and likely has more main events in his future.

At WWE Crown Jewel on October 11th, Roman Reigns will face Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight, which takes place in Perth, Australia. Even though Reed is Australian, the fans will likely be behind the “OTC” Reigns, who is as popular as anybody in WWE.

Regarding the long travel from the US to Australia, Roman Reigns appeared on ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show and said that you need to take care of your body and hit the ground running. Reigns also mentioned that when he filmed the Street Fighter movie in September in Australia, he had to fly commercial. Reigns won’t be doing that for WWE Crown Jewel.

“I fly out tonight. Travel for this will be much, much kinder than it was for the movie. We’re working on that. You gotta pay your dues, you gotta build your equity. Brother was on the commercial flight just living life amongst the people. It was great. Um, no, this is much better. G-650 on the way out there, one stop for gas and we hit the ground running.”

What Reigns meant by building his equity was that he was still relatively new in the movie world, and he was building his name in that world.

Roman Reigns Is Setting The Tone For Others In WWE

As the discussion continued, Roman Reigns spoke about how all you can do is keep your immune system as high as possible, get some Vitamin C, and don’t bitch about it. Reigns added that he would arrive in Perth on Friday in the late morning and then hit the ground running, hoping for the best.

When McAfee mentioned that Reigns flew on a private plane, Reigns stated that he was there to set the tone for others in WWE.

“It ain’t nothing about boujee or high maintenance. Business is business, you know what I’m saying? I have to set the tone and the standard for the next guy up, so if I start slumming it then the next guy’s slum. We’re progressing here, man. Like I said, everybody gets escalated and everybody gets lifted when the Tribal Chief is around.”

The next WWE PLE is Crown Jewel on October 11th. Here’s the lineup so far.

* Men’s Crown Jewel Championship: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins
