Roman Reigns Tipped To Return For WWE SummerSlam
A WWE Hall of Famer has a theory on Roman Reigns.
Since WrestleMania 40, The Bloodline has undergone something of a revolution. With The Rock and Roman Reigns out of the picture, Solo Sikoa has assumed control of the group with a little help from Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa. Following WrestleMania, Sikoa got the ball moving on SmackDown by brutally attacking Jimmy Uso.
While Sikoa says he’s operating on orders from the Tribal Chief, Paul Heyman remains stuck in the middle and unsure of his next move.
Meanwhile, The Bloodline could be about to get another new member, with an NJPW star expected to land in WWE.
Speaking on a recent episode of his podcast, Rikishi Fatu Off The Top, the Hall of Famer said he’d like to see Reigns come back to confront Sikoa, leading to a match at SummerSlam or another big event.
“I almost see Roman [Reigns] coming in and Solo [Sikoa] standing his ground, because that could be something with the outstanding performance of Solo holding it down since Roman is out of the picture. He’s been doing a very good job of building his brand and holding that part of The Bloodline. I guess they call it Bloodline 2.0,’
‘I’m always thinking about what the fans would like to see. If fans want to see it, that definitely makes money. We all know Solo was the kind of The Enforcer for Roman, and how good would it be to see that even if it’s just for one match? It could be at SummerSlam or at a big event.”
Roman Reigns’ Return Could Have Been Pushed Back
Although Rikishi would like to see Reigns and Sikoa go to war at SummerSlam, he might not get his wish. In recent days Roman Reigns has been removed from advertising for the August 2nd episode of SmackDown. The show is due to be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, 24 hours before SummerSlam.
The appearance was due to be the star’s first since being defeated by Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
