Roman Reigns Responds To The Rock’s Claims He Won’t Be Ready For WrestleMania

Roman Reigns has addressed the rumours of him facing The Rock at WrestleMania 39 as the dream match appears to be looking less and less likely.

For months – if not years – rumours have run rampant that The Rock would be the one to finally take down Roman Reigns in a WrestleMania clash for the ages, especially since Reigns began referring to himself as The Tribal Chief.

Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon one night before the 2023 Royal Rumble, Reigns discussed the possibility of facing The Rock and how the WWE icon has suggested he wouldn’t be ready for a WrestleMania match:

“There’s been a huge buzz on that for a long time now, but it’s really picked up in the last couple of years. I believe he just came out with a statement saying he’s not going to be ready in time, which that’s the kind of face everyone’s making, like, hold on, this guy trains every single day. He’s huge!”

Roman Reigns then explained how there’s a difference between looking to be in great shape and being conditioned to take bumps in a wrestling ring with Reigns adding:

“That’s number one, Dwayne. When you’re going up against Roman Reigns, you better get ready to fall down.”

At the 2023 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns will put his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship on the line against Kevin Owens.
