Roman Reigns Will Allegedly Retire From WWE Before This Date
A wrestling veteran believes Roman Reigns’ WWE career will be over in a few years.
The Original Tribal Chief joined the Stamford-based company in 2010 and made his main roster debut as part of The Shield two years later.
The 40-year-old has since become the face of the company, headlining WrestleMania nine times.
The former leader of The Bloodline also had a historic 1316-day Undisputed WWE Championship reign that ended at the hands of Cody Rhodes at last year’s Show of Shows.
While addressing the lack of star power on the Behind The Turnbuckle: The Last Word podcast, former Interim RAW General Manager Jonathan Coachman made a bold prediction about Reigns’ career.
The wrestling veteran claimed that the former Undisputed WWE Champion would be retired by 2030.
Name somebody that you can say, ‘You know what? He or she is gonna be on the MSG marquee in five years to sell out Madison Square Garden.’ I don’t know that you have.
I’m saying in five years. Roman Reigns will be retired by then. Cody Rhodes, who knows? So, who’s gonna be the next guy?
Roman Reigns’ WWE Status Reportedly Changed
The Original Tribal Chief’s schedule has become much lighter in recent years. Last year, the 40-year-old only competed in six matches, winning four and losing two.
As of June 18, Roman Reigns has competed in only three matches this year. Meanwhile, he has been absent from WWE TV since the RAW after WrestleMania 41.
A recent report from WrestlingNewsCo claimed that the former Bloodline leader has now become a special attraction, similar to Brock Lesnar.
