Roman Reigns May Regret Major WWE Move

Roman Reigns WWE

Roman Reigns returned to WWE Raw last week.

Roman Reigns had been absent for nearly a month, written off after a post-match attack by The Vision at Clash in Paris following his singles win over Bronson Reed. During his hiatus, he was away filming scenes for the forthcoming “Street Fighter” movie, while The Usos tried to fend for themselves against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.

The OTC made a surprise return to Monday Night Raw on September 29, 2025, intervening during the main event to rescue The Usos from a brutal assault by The Brons. After the match, Roman Reigns seemingly endorsed Jey Uso as his successor and asked him not to wait for opportunities and to take what he thinks he deserves, while Jimmy Uso watched from the sidelines with visible tension.

Sam Roberts Comments on Roman Reigns’ Seemingly Passing the Torch to Jey Uso

Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts analyzed this segment on a recent episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, where he stated that The Tribal Chief might regret putting his faith in Jey Uso. Roberts believes that Reigns giving so much power to his cousin might corrupt him, eventually.

I feel like there’s two ways to play that, right? It’s either I’m now your wise man. This is yours. I’ll be in and out, but I got your back. Or it’s words that Roman Reigns will regret saying, right? He wasn’t the guy. He wasn’t ready. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The same way Roman was corrupted, imagine Jey being corrupted,
But even worse.

Because Roman, while his behaviors were not all great, and there were consequences to all that, he at least had a certain discipline. Even when he was running the bloodline, it was never like he’s out of control. It was always like, “No, whether you agree with it or not, these are my methods, and my methods are being used to get to this result.” Well, if Jey has that same mentality but doesn’t have the discipline that Roman Reigns has, doesn’t have the systems in place that Roman Reigns has, then all of a sudden this becomes a dictatorship. This becomes something more harmful that Roman would have to put a stop to. [From 3:24 to 4:32]
