Roman Reigns’ Raw Summer Schedule Revealed

Unified WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns may have cut back on his WWE schedule but a new report has disclosed when The Tribal Chief will be on Raw this summer.

Roman Reigns recently told a WWE audience at a live event that he would be scaling back his appearances for the company. While many took this as a sign that certain house shows would be out for the WWE Universal Champion, it turns out Reigns’ absence extends to WWE television as well.

The Tribal Chief has already missed the Hell In A Cell premium live event that was headlined by the critically acclaimed match between Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes, and it appears Reigns will also be absent from Money In The Bank in July.

Reigns should be present for SummerSlam – marketed as WWE’s second-biggest show of the year – but his appearances on television in the lead-up to the event might still be very limited.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer has claimed that Reigns will only be appearing on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night Raw, once this summer:

“The only time Reigns is going to be on Raw is the Raw from Madison Square Garden. That’s his only Raw booking, the only time the champion will be on Raw pretty much the whole summer.”

Raw will emanate from WWE’s spiritual home in New York City on the 25th of July. That edition of Raw will act as the go-home Raw before SummerSlam takes place on July 30th in Nashville, Tennessee.
