Roman Reigns Pulled From WWE Event
Fans might have to wait a little longer to see Roman Reigns back in action.
At WrestleMania 40, Roman Reigns’ incredible run as Undisputed WWE Champion came to an end. Despite the best efforts of The Rock and the entire Bloodline, Reigns was finally pinned in the middle of the ring by Cody Rhodes, ending his incredible title run at 1316 days.
Following the event, The Rock jumped back to Hollywood, and Reigns disappeared from television. With the big names missing, chaos has taken hold of SmackDown, with Solo Sikoa claiming to be running The Bloodline under orders from Reigns, however, Paul Heyman says he hasn’t heard from the Tribal Chief since that famous night in Philadelphia.
In recent weeks, Roman Reigns was filmed training with bodybuilder and actor Kai Greene, but his big return may now be delayed.
Roman Reigns To Miss SummerSlam?
While there’s been little word on WWE’s plans for Reigns, he had been advertised for the August 2nd episode of SmackDown. The show is due to be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio, 24 hours before SummerSlam.
However, on the WWE’s official website, where appearances from Superstars are advertised it reads “Featured Superstar information for this event is not yet available.”
Although no Superstars are advertised, Randy Orton, Bayley, LA Knight, Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, and Cody Rhodes appear in the official header. But this isn’t confirmation they’ll be on the show.
