Roman Reigns Reacts to Paul Heyman Hinting at Betraying Seth Rollins
Roman Reigns made a surprise WWE comeback on the September 29 edition of Monday Night RAW, providing a much-needed backup to his cousins against The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. This week, he challenged The Tribal Thief to an Australian Street Fight match at Crown Jewel on October 11 in Australia.
Once Crown Jewel wraps up, all eyes will be on Survivor Series: WarGames, happening November 29, 2025, in San Diego. Reports say Reigns is locked in for the WarGames match, teaming up for the brutal multi-man cage brawl instead of a singles match against his nemesis, Seth Rollins. Fans are buzzing for a one-on-one, but insiders say they’ll have to wait, probably until WrestleMania 42 next year.
This whole saga started at WrestleMania 41 in April 2025, when The Ex-Wiseman Paul Heyman betrayed his Tribal Chief and CM Punk to side with Seth Rollins instead. That heel turn split Heyman and Reigns for good, and Rollins has flaunted Heyman’s loyalty ever since, rubbing salt in Roman Reigns’ wounds. But lately, Heyman’s been shady with Rollins, seeming ready to double-cross his new leader, too.
The World Heavyweight Champion is also scheduled to have a singles champion vs. champion match against the WWE Undisputed Champion at Crown Jewel. Tension rises as Crown Jewel approaches because Rollins, who has a history of losing to Cody Rhodes, especially in singles matches, is starting to feel the pressure.
Rollins asked Heyman point-blank what would happen if he fell short against Rhodes. Heyman dodged, then bluntly said losing would make him question why he ever left Roman Reigns for Rollins, hinting his alliance isn’t airtight and a fresh betrayal could be right around the corner.
Roman Reigns Mocks Paul Heyman’s Alliance With Seth Rollins
During an interview on The Pat McAfee Show, Roman Reigns was asked to comment on the segment and share his thoughts on Heyman hinting at betraying Rollins. He made a sarcastic statement that Heyman left him, hoping that the grass would be greener on Rollins’ side, but clearly it’s not.
It just got off a charter with like 80 people probably sweating it up. You know what I’m saying? That’s not the good life. It’s not bad, but it’s not the good life. It’s not the promised land. (From 12:24)
