Roman Reigns May Retire Without Another WWE World Title Run

Roman Reigns WWE Title

WWE superstar Roman Reigns is arguably the biggest draw that the company has currently. The OTC is a fan favorite who gets them off their feet every time he enters an arena. However, this wasn’t always the case with the former Undisputed WWE Champion.

For the longest part of his post-Shield career, Roman Reigns divided opinions amongst the WWE Universe. Everything changed for him in 2020, when he returned from a hiatus and aligned with Paul Heyman. The duo would embark on a five-year-long journey together, which included a 1314-day run with the Undisputed WWE Championship.

He became the longest reigning champion in the modern era with that historic reign which came to an end at WrestleMania XL, where he was defeated by Cody Rhodes. Since then, the former leader of the Bloodline has been away from the World Title picture which may signal that he may not hold the title ever again in the promotion.

WWE analyst raises questions on Romans Reigns’ future

Roman Reigns is already working on a part-time schedule with WWE for the last few years and analyst Sam Roberts raised some questions on his future while speaking on his NotSam Wrestling podcast. He pondered how long will Roman continue to wrestle in the promotion and if he does, will he ever hold the World Title again, given his sporadic appearances.

There are always rumors about how much longer is Roman gonna do this? And maybe Roman doesn’t even know. But are we gonna see another Roman Reigns title reign, or is that it? I think Roman Reigns winning this (WarGames) match for his team makes a lot of sense, because it starts pushing forward this idea that Roman is back.” Roberts said.

While Brock Lesnar has been a World Champion in the company while working on a part-time contract, that was a different WWE than what it is today. If Roman Reigns can take out time from his schedule like John Cena did this year, then winning the championship again becomes a real possibility for the OTC.
