Huge Roman Reigns Match Added To WWE Crown Jewel (Spoiler)
The “Original Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns will be in action at WWE Crown Jewel with some familiar tag team partners.
It was a busy night of WWE SmackDown in Brooklyn because fans in attendance got to see two weeks of shows in one night. That’s because the November 1st episode of SmackDown was taped a week early due to the Crown Jewel PLE taking place in Saudi Arabia. Rather than do a live Smackdown the night before Crown Jewel, WWE chose to tape a week early instead.
In the main event of WWE SmackDown in Brooklyn, Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso got involved in a match that saw The Bloodline’s Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa defend the WWE Tag Team Titles against the Motor City Machine Guns duo of Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin.
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso fought with Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu, who were at ringside for the match. They went fighting to the back. After a referee bump in the match, Jey Uso showed up for revenge since The Bloodline cost him the Intercontinental Title on Raw this past Monday. Following Jey’s involvement (that the referee never saw), the Machine Guns duo of Shelley & Sabin finished off Tama Tonga for the win and the WWE Tag Team Titles.
After the match, Jey Uso was alone in the ring when his twin brother Jimmy Uso walked out to join his brother in the ring. The Usos hugged while the fans in Brooklyn cheered heavily. Meanwhile, Roman Reigns was standing by the entrance area looking at his reunited cousins in the ring.
Roman Reigns And The Usos Teaming Up At WWE Crown Jewel
During the SmackDown tapings for the November 1st episode, there was an in-ring segment between Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso. PWInsider’s Mike Johnson was at the show and provided this recap of what happened.
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso came out for a promo. Jimmy said that he needs Roman to drop the beef with Jey Uso. Jimmy said he squashed his beef and he’s asking Roman to make up with him as well. If they aren’t strong like they need to be, they will lose at Crown Jewel. Roman asked for the mic but Jey came out before Roman could speak.
Jey said he took this match and fight to get back at Solo. He said the family isn’t all the way fixed yet and it’s taking all he has just to stand next to them. He hasn’t forgotten what they did to him physically, emotionally and mentally. He said he still showed up because that’s what family does. Roman listened with his head down. Jey said he stands here as Roman’s equal. All three of them are equals and can stand together and run things the way they used to back in the day.
Jey said if he’s treated with even the slightest disrespect he is gone and if Roman doesn’t like this, he can walk out. Or he can act like his cousin and stand together at Crown Jewel. He asked Roman if they were going to do it or not.
Roman took the mic and considered before saying YEET. All three stood together in solidarity with their arms raised.
As noted above, the trio of Roman Reigns, Jimmy Uso & Jey Uso will be teaming up against The Bloodline at WWE Crown Jewel. It’s not known which three members of The Bloodline will be in the match, but it will likely include Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu while also joined by Tama Tonga or Tonga Loa.
The currently advertised lineup for WWE Crown Jewel on November 1st looks like this:
- Men’s Crown Jewel Championship: Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther
- Women’s Crown Jewel Championship: WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax vs. Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan

- WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs. Damage CTRL’s Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane vs. Chelsea Green & Piper Niven vs. Meta-Four’s Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson
