Roman Reigns Confirmed For Major WWE Summer Show
Roman Reigns is a man in demand but WWE has announced that The Tribal Chief will be making the trip to England this summer to be part of Money In The Bank.
For the first time in the event’s history, the Money In The Bank event will take place outside of the United States as WWE’s finest will do battle over the famous briefcases in The O2 Arena in London, England on July 1st. On the Friday night before the huge event, SmackDown will also emanate from the banks of the Thames, and Roman Reigns is set to be part of both shows.
A press release from WWE announcing the news reads:
“WWE® (NYSE: WWE) today announced that Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will appear live at The O2 in London for SmackDown on Friday, June 30, and Money In The Bank on Saturday, July 1, 2023.
“Final remaining single event tickets for SmackDown and Money In The Bank will be available this Friday, May 19 at 10am BST via Ticketmaster.co.uk and TheO2.co.uk.
“This marks the first time ever that SmackDown will broadcast live and in primetime from the UK at 8pm local on BT Sport. Money In The Bank marks the first WWE Premium Live Event to be held in London in over two decades.”
It remains to be seen what Reigns’ role on the show will be and if he will be defending his Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Roman Reigns will team up with Solo Sikoa to challenge Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the WWE Tag Team Championship at Night of Champions in late May.
