Roman Reigns In Talks For Major New Movie
Big things could be on the horizon for Roman Reigns.
According to a new report from Deadline, Roman Reigns is one of several big names in talks to star in a live-action Street Fighter movie. Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, and Noah Centineo are also being lined up for the project.
Details on the movie remain top secret, and the studio declined to comment on the potential cast. As noted by Deadline, Kitao Sakurai joined the project in February as director, taking over from Danny & Michael Philippou.
The film adaptation is being co-developed and co-produced alongside Capcom, the developer and publisher of the video games. No word has emerged yet on who has written and who specifically will produce the actioner.
The Street Fighter game series launched in 1987 and has gone on to sell over 55 million units, making it one of the most successful video game franchises in history.
Roman Reigns On WWE Hiatus
Roman Reigns hasn’t been seen on WWE television since losing to Seth Rollins in the main event of WrestleMania 41 night one. In the match, also involving CM Punk, Paul Heyman turned his back on both Reigns and Punk to align with Seth Rollins. The pair has since recruited Bron Breakker.
According to the most recent update on his status, Reigns is expected to return to the company in early June. This would likely see him back around Money In The Bank to set up a storyline to take him through SummerSlam.
Prior to WrestleMania, Roman Reigns hit back at claims that he’s a part-time WWE star, commenting that every second he’s breathing, he’s working.
