Roman Reigns has made it clear that he isn’t a big fan of a particular on-screen WWE Executive.
The “Tribal Chief” Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns returned on WWE Smackdown in Atlanta as part of a contract signing segment for his match at the Royal Rumble.
While Roman’s Royal Rumble opponents Randy Orton, LA Knight and AJ Styles all signed the contract at the start of the show while Smackdown GM Nick Aldis was in the ring with them, Reigns chose not to appear in that segment. Instead, Roman’s “Wise Man” Paul Heyman tried to get Reigns out of the match, which didn’t go as planned.
In the Smackdown main event, Randy Orton defeated “The Tribal Heir” Solo Sikoa clean with an RKO. After the match, Orton also dropped Knight and Styles with the RKO. That’s when Reigns finally appeared in the ring to nail Orton with a Superman Punch.
Reigns would go on to sign the Royal Rumble match contract. Instead of handing the contract back to GM Aldis, Reigns dropped it on the ground at Aldis’ feet as a sign of disrespect. When Orton got back up, Reigns charged and Orton hit Reigns with an RKO. Orton celebrated to end the show.
How Does Roman Reigns Feel About Smackdown GM Nick Aldis?
In a TikTok video, Roman Reigns gave his thoughts on the Smackdown GM Nick Aldis.
“I don’t like him. Nick Aldis, I don’t like him. We’re gonna figure him out. We’re gonna fix him.”
Obviously, those comments are in character because, in the storyline, Aldis has stood up to Reigns in ways that WWE Official Adam Pearce didn’t do when Reigns would oftentimes get what he wanted. Reigns is also not happy about having to defend his championship against three opponents instead of just one opponent.
Roman Reigns defends the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at the Royal Rumble against Randy Orton, LA Knight and AJ Styles next Saturday, January 27th.
