Roman Reigns Expresses Major WWE Regret
Roman Reigns is in a reflective mood.
Heading into WrestleMania 40, the WWE world bowed at the feet of The Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. Although cracks had well and truly appeared in The Bloodline, that almost didn’t matter. Reigns was the World Champion, and he had been for more than 1300 days.
However, on one famous night in Philadelphia, his world fell apart.
Following one of the wildest WrestleMania main events seen in years, Reigns was left bereft, beaten, and without his treasured World Championship. It would be several months until he returned to WWE, and by the time he did, the landscape looked very different.
Cody Rhodes was riding high as World Champion, Solo Sikoa had his own Bloodline, and Reigns was now back at the bottom of the mountain he once dominated.
After exacting a measure of revenge on the family that wronged him, Reigns is now set to face CM Punk and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania, but once again, he’s unsure who he can trust.
Roman Reigns Was Untouchable
In a new promo posted on social media, Reigns looked back on his troubled year, while making a simple promise. Lesson learned.
“It’s funny how much a year can change. This time last year I was untouchable. I should have tightened my grip around this company’s neck. There was a wise man that taught me diplomacy. ‘You gotta think politically’, I tried to help everyone. Most of them don’t understand what a helping hand really looks like. What that really feels like. What do I get for it?
Netflix. TKO. The mainstream. Billion dollar deals and somehow I’m out on my ass. I lift everybody up and somehow no one’s got enough respect to just be true to their Tribal Chief.
My father didn’t agree with me. He used to say, son why do you care if they respect you? Why do you care if they acknowledge your talent and your contribution?
Lessons learned.”
It’s been announced that Roman Reigns will be on the April 14 edition of Raw as WWE makes its last few stops before WrestleMania. To add further spice, it’s also been announced that Paul Heyman, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins will all be in attendance.
In the ring, Bayley takes on Liv Morgan, and AJ Styles battles Karrion Kross.
