Roman Reigns Ending 5 Year Streak At WWE Royal Rumble

Roman Reigns

He is once again the undisputed Tribal Chief and now Roman Reigns has his sights on an even bigger prize in WWE with the Royal Rumble on the horizon.

The debut edition of Raw on Netflix saw Roman Reigns defeat Solo Sikoa in a wild match to claim the ula fala and the title of Tribal Chief. Sikoa had tasked Paul Heyman with presenting the ula fala to the winner, but instead, The Rock made his presence felt as he bestowed the honour on Reigns as the two men embraced in the ring.

Now on the January 10 edition of SmackDown Paul Heyman had a message to deliver on behalf of Roman Reigns and he called out the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes to do so. Heyman explained to Rhodes that while he now had the respect of Reigns after winning back the ula fala, he’s now set his sights on reclaiming the WWE Championship. Heyman revealed that Roman Reigns had declared for the Royal Rumble to try and book his title shot at WrestleMania 41.

Roman Reigns Part Of Star-Studded Royal Rumble

John Cena became the first entrant in the men’s 2025 Royal Rumble on Raw and CM Punk has also noted his intention to be part of the 30-man match as well.

This will be the first time Roman Reigns has been part of the Rumble match since 2020. The Tribal Chief infamously won the iconic match in 2015 but was showered with boos as he celebrated that win with The Rock. Out of every Rumble match Reigns has been a part of, his worst performance came in 2016 when he finished third behind Dean Ambrose and Triple H.
