Roman Reigns’ Demand Forces Triple H To Shatter WWE Star’s Dream

Roman Reigns WWE

Roman Reigns seemingly carries enough weight in WWE to alter storylines.

Despite having competed in only 7 matches in 2025, Reigns has been featured in important storylines before disappearing and then returning multiple times again.

The 40-year-old superstar recently competed in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, where he teamed up with CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, and The Usos.

Unfortunately, the result did not land in their favor, as Bron Breakker pinned Punk to win the bout for his team.

Other than Survivor Series, Roman Reigns wrestled at PLEs like Royal Rumble, WrestleMania 41, SummerSlam, Clash in Paris, and Crown Jewel this year.

After Clash in Paris, he was written off from the show, allowing him to film the scenes for his upcoming Street Fighter movie.

On multiple occasions, The Original Tribal Chief has spoken about his Hollywood ambitions that could see him leave WWE.

2025 also witnessed Sami Zayn’s push, who, after over a decade with the company, was being inserted into the World Championship picture. But that push may have been stopped, courtesy of Reigns.

Roman Reigns Forced WWE To Alter Sami Zayn’s Push

Sami Zayn ended his long-standing feud with Karrion Kross, all the while talking about his dream to compete for the world title.

When the feud ended, fans expected him to be featured in major storylines. A memefest ensued online when he was drafted to SmackDown from RAW and given the United States Championship.

During a recent Self Made Sessions podcast, it was revealed that Roman Reigns may have put his Hollywood plans on the back burner, forcing Zayn to get sidelined, including potentially winning the 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia.

This year, Roman Reigns’s whole plan—at some point during the year—changed. He decided, ‘I’m actually not all in on the Hollywood thing, and I’m coming back to WWE. I want a championship. I want to win a belt. And basically, I want Cody’s seat.’

They scrapped that whole Sami Zayn stuff, because Sami was originally going to be the guy to win the Rumble in Saudi and face Seth Rollins for the championship. That was the long-term plan for that whole thing, that whole saga with The Vision. [H/T: Ringside News]
