Roman Reigns Blames Fans For Ruining His Party In Infamous WWE Moment
WWE fans ruined one of the biggest nights in Roman Reigns’ career.
While the past four years have seen Roman Reigns riding high as The Tribal Chief of The Bloodline in one of the most popular storylines seen in WWE, there was a time when fans refused to accept him as the face of the company.
This was never more obvious than at the 2015 Royal Rumble. The night should have been the biggest of The Big Dog’s career up to that point as he won the eponymous match, guaranteeing his first WrestleMania main event later that year. Unfortunately, the fans in Philadelphia had other ideas and booed Reigns out of the building despite him portraying as a babyface and even having The Rock come out to join the festivities.
In his upcoming A&E Biography, Reigns reflected on that night, saying it’s something he tries to forget.
“I was booed, historically. You think about these moments. You dream about them, and the moment that it actually happens, it’s like they’re playing the worst soundtrack of all time over your moment, ruining your party. That’s how the Rumble in Philly felt.
“I try to forget Philly. I try to forget the Royal Rumble. There’s only one positive, and that’s the fact that it’s going to be able to tie all the way back around at WrestleMania 40.”
Roman Reigns will headline both night of WrestleMania 40, teaming with The Rock on Night 1 to take on Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins before defending his title against Rhodes in the main event of Night 2.
Roman Reigns Hits Back At His Haters
Roman Reigns has addressed his “stupid” haters who don’t like his reduced schedule. During a recent interview, The Head Of The Table made clear that despite the complainers, he’s put the company on his back and “the checks are crazy.”
