Roman Reigns Addresses Biggest WWE Deal Of All Time

Roman Reigns Paul Heyman WWE

Roman Reigns thinks WWE’s move to Netflix is a huge opportunity.

Back in January, it was announced that WWE was taking its Monday Night Raw to Netflix in a deal worth a staggering $500 per year. The deal means that WWE’s flagship show will move from linear television for the first time since its inception in 1993.

Many have suggested the deal could be something of a watershed moment for professional wrestling with more shows and companies moving to streaming in the future.

During an appearance at Bloomberg’s New York Power Players event, Roman Reigns talked up the move, calling the deal the “biggest of all time.”

“I think this is the biggest deal of all time, to be honest. The thing that changes the whole landscape for us is that we’ve been on linear television for decades and we’ve been the leader of that, episodically. To take our program and put it on a streaming network like Netflix, it’s unheard of.

To go through our history and see where we’re at now and the growth that we’ve had since 2020, when the world was upside down, is amazing. It’s a big opportunity for us to not only showcase our product, but what we’ve mastered with live television,”

Roman Reigns Returning To SmackDown

While WWE won’t be moving to Netflix until January 2025, SmackDown heads to its new home on the USA Network after leaving Fox. To celebrate that fact, it’s been announced that Roman Reigns will be back on the blue brand on September 13th.

The former World Champion hasn’t been featured on SmackDown since being attacked by the new Bloodline led by Solo Sikoa.

On the same episode, Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Title against Sikoa in a Steel Cage Match.
