Why Roman Reigns Avoided Mentioning Seth Rollins On WWE RAW
Roman Reigns has been on WWE RAW for two weeks now, and he has already secured his spot on the SummerSlam match card.
Ideally, OTC1 should have gone up against Seth Rollins at The Biggest Party of the Summer, but instead, he is teaming up with Jey Uso to take on Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker.
Interestingly, Roman Reigns hasn’t mentioned The Visionary in any of the segments, and it has raised questions about why the global juggernaut is not building on that feud by having Reigns avoid mentioning him.
WWE needs to create a match for Roman Reigns and not Seth Rollins
Roman Reigns’ feud with Seth Rollins has been in the works since The Architect betrayed The Shield. Following that, Paul Heyman betrayed Reigns and joined hands with Rollins. Two of the biggest betrayals in Reigns’ career are linked with Seth Rollins.
On Busted Open Radio, Bishop Dyer (fka Baron Corbin) analyzed the reason why the global juggernaut and Roman Reigns haven’t mentioned Rollins at all since his return to WWE TV.
I hear your points on like why not mention Seth Rollins and this is where I am at on that. Like, I don’t think it was his fault or his idea not to mention Seth. I think they’re going, ‘okay, how do we book a SummerSlam match in one week?’ So, if we are talking about Seth Rollins, who is not going to be there, it takes away from us trying to create a match because the rumor is we are going to get Roman and Jey vs. Bron and Bronson at SummerSlam, which we’re, like, what are we seven days away or 10 days away.
So now, you got to build a match basically in a week and a half for SummerSlam, one of your biggest pay-per-views of the entire year. So, I think it’s like, ‘alright, since we are not doing a three-month build like we are supposed to or should do, how do we do this? If we talk about Seth who is not going to be there in injury, we are wasting time getting to creating this feud’.
