Roman Reigns Passes 1000 Days Without Being Pinned
In another landmark moment for ‘The Head Of The Table’, current Universal WWE Undisputed Champion Roman Reigns has now surpassed 1000 days without being pinned in WWE.
It was only recently that Roman Reigns reached the two-year barrier as Universal Champion, adding his name to a list of only four others who had reached that milestone – those being Hulk Hogan, Bob Backlund, Pedro Morales, and Bruno Sammartino.
There have been plenty of challengers for the gold over that time, with some of the most recent attempts by the likes of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2022 and Drew McIntyre at Clash At The Castle being unsuccessful, despite a lot of opinion that either man could have been the one to dethrone ‘The Tribal Chief’.
Now another key number can be added to the accolades of Roman Reigns, as he has not been pinned during a match in 1000 days.
Many would not expect that the last time he was left looking at the lights was at the hands of Happy Corbin – known at the time as King Corbin – who picked up the victory at Tables, Ladders & Chairs in December 2019. On that night, Corbin had the help of Dolph Ziggler and The Revival to get the decisive three count.
In a sign of the ever-changing landscape in the wrestling world, 10 of the 22 competitors who were involved on the night Reigns was last pinned have since left WWE and moved on to pastures new.
