ROH Legend Returns On AEW Rampage [SPOILER]

AEW Rampage Entrance

One of Ring of Honor’s most beloved stars returned on AEW Rampage.

Mark Briscoe hasn’t wrestled since defeating JD Drake and Tony Nese at the June 29th ROH tapings. The match was broadcast on July 6th. Briscoe had been due to challenge Claudio Castagnoli for the ROH World Title at Death Before Dishonor on July 21st but was pulled from the show after it was revealed he’d suffered a serious knee injury that required surgery.

Briscoe was already a replacement for Eddie Kingston, and at Death Before Dishonor, Castagnoli ended up facing PAC.

On the October 27th AEW Rampage, Briscoe made a surprise return to television, confronting Kip Sabian after the star cut an anti-Philadelphia promo.

Mark Briscoe has a lengthy history with Ring of Honor, dominating the tag team division with his brother, the late, great Jay Briscoe.
