Rikishi’s KnokX Pro Tells Talent Not To Talk To Police
The sickening incident involving Rikishi’s KnokX Pro has taken a new twist, with talent apparently told not to speak to the police.
The son of former UFC star Rampage Jackson, Raja Jackson, jumped into the ring after Stuart Smith, performing as Syko Stu, had competed in a match.
Jackson stormed the ring from where he’d been sitting at ringside. Jackson took out Stu with a version of a double-legged takedown, which appeared to knock him out. With Stu down, Jackson adopted a mount position and delivered a series of punches with the former unable to defend himself.
It was subsequently reported that Stu had sustained serious injuries, while Rampage Jackson condemned his son’s actions. Rampage noted in a statement that Stu was “awake and stable.”
Rikishi’s KnokX Pro Warns Talent About Speaking To Police
Now, one wrestler involved with the company has claimed that the management of KnokX Pro has told its talent not to talk to the police investigating the matter. Speaking on the Scaling Up Podcast, one worker named Ian noted:
The most disgusting thing that people at this school are being encouraged to not cooperate with the police. From what I hear, the police were there investigating the scene shortly after Stu was removed and there have been multiple requests that have gone downstream from upper management to not talk with the police directly if they are contacted and to only let a certain group of individuals interact with the police.
That is extremely dishonest. You guys let your friend almost die and now you’re now trying to have people lie for you.
It is claimed that KnokX Pro’s Kevin Thomas (KT King) sent messages to talent about the situation, which read:
Please refrain from engaging in comment sections on social media posts about this tragedy. It will be weaponized in potential criminal and civil cases. Fly low.
If Law Enforcement or an attorney for the suspect contacts you in any capacity, let someone here know right away for guidance on how to address them.
WWE has cut ties with KnokX Pro following the incident. The promotion was affiliated with WWE as part of its ID program. It is believed that Rikishi was not present at the show despite owning the company.
