Rikishi Reacts To The Usos Possibly Having WrestleMania 40 Match

WWE Jimmy Uso Jey Uso

Rikishi has called it a “dream match” if The Usos have an epic showdown at WrestleMania.

The Usos are considered by many WWE fans to be one of the greatest tag teams in company history. They have the record for the longest Tag Team Title reign in WWE history and it was just last year at WrestleMania 39 when The Usos were the first team to main event WrestleMania as the defending Tag Team Champions.

That WrestleMania 39 match ended badly for The Usos in terms of losing the Tag Team Titles, but it is still a history-making match and also a match that many people consider one of the best WrestleMania matches ever.

While The Usos did pick up a big win over their cousin Roman Reigns & brother Solo Sikoa, things went downhill for the brothers when Jimmy cost Jey the Undisputed WWE Universal Title at SummerSlam. Due to how tough the situation has been, Jey moved to Raw to get away from The Bloodline.

To start the 2024 Royal Rumble, The Usos were the first two men in the match. Things have picked up in recent weeks since Jimmy was the reason why Jey failed to beat GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Title on Raw, Jimmy also cost Jey his match with Drew McIntyre on the March 4th Raw as well.

As the sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, The Usos have pro wrestling in their blood and now this blood rivalry will likely have to be settled on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania 40.

During an interview at the For Love of Wrestling signing put on by Monopoly Events, Rikishi admitted that fans have been talking to him about getting involved somehow.

“I’ve been hearing that over the last 16 hours since I’ve been here signing for the Love of Wrestling fans. ‘Are you coming back?’ I go, ‘What are you talking about?’ ‘We need you to come back to settle this drama going on between your kids.’”

“I’m like, I don’t know. I really don’t know. Will it happen? Maybe. Can it happen? Of course. But is that what the fans want? Is that what The Bloodline wants? Is that what the WWE wants? So in the meantime, I’m kind of on the sidelines. I’m just, I don’t want to say patiently waiting, but I’m on the side.”

“It seems like the family has just been going at it. I feel that people in the wrestling world, let’s face it, there’s no perfect family, whether you’re in the wrestling business or whatever business. But to be able to see this dynasty go back and forth, it’s entertaining to a lot of people.”

“The family’s just kind of going divided, you know what I mean? There needs to be some type of law and order. Somebody needs to pull it down and say, ‘This is what it is.’ So I don’t know, we’ll see.”

Rikishi Thinks The Usos Having A Match Would Be A Historical Moment

The conversation continued with Rikishi discussing how big it would be if The Usos faced off in a match at WrestleMania 40 in Philadelphia while noting that it was their wish to have a match like that.

“At the end of the day, I look forward, if this dream match happens at WrestleMania, man, it would be a historical moment. Not only for the boys, to be able to finally get their wish to headline or be a part of WrestleMania together, and let’s see. There needs to be a piece of the puzzle to complete that, and I’ll leave it at that.”

Jimmy Uso and The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns, The Rock, Solo Sikoa & Paul Heyman will be there on the March 8th Smackdon in Dallas. No word on if Jey will show up and try to get revenge on his brother.
