Rikishi Finally Happy After Jey Uso WWE Title Win

Rikishi WWE Intercontinental Champion

After plenty of criticism fired at WWE in recent weeks, it seems Rikishi is now happy after Jey Uso captured the Intercontinental Title on Raw.

Jey Uso overcame a triple threat match and a fatal four-way bout to earn his right to challenge the hugely impressive Bron Breakker for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Breakker won the gold at SummerSlam when he defeated Uso’s old partner and rival Sami Zayn.

On Raw in Ontario, CA, Jey Uso might not have had his family by his side but he had the whole crowd behind him as delivered a Uso Splash to defeat Bron Breakker and win the WWE Intercontinental Title for the very first time.

Uso’s success comes after weeks of his father and WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi criticising the company for how they were using his son. Rikishi also suggested Jey Uso could look outside WWE if his prospects didn’t improve.

However, following the huge title win, it seems Rikishi is now satisfied.

Rikishi Celebrating Jey Uso’s Huge Win

Taking to social media, Rikishi gave his reaction to Uso’s win by tagging Rhea Ripley and noting that it’s time to celebrate:

@RheaRipley_WWE It’s time to celebrate mami. AND YOUR NEW IC CHAMPION JEY MAIN EVENT USO Everyone Throw your hands in the air and say loud and proud #JeyWins #YEET @WWE

Jey Uso’s win makes a little bit of WWE history involving his father. They are now only the second father/son duo to have both held the Intercontinental Title. That feat was first achieved when Curtis Axel won the title 23 years after his father Mr Perfect held the gold.
