Rikishi Calls Out WWE For Disrespecting Bret Hart

Bret Hart has received more support, this time from Rikishi.

As usual, SummerSlam was packed with famous faces from WWE’s past. Hall of Famers and wrestling legends were littered throughout the crowd, but not everything went to plan.

During a recent interview, Bret Hart revealed that despite being invited to the event by WWE, there wasn’t a seat for him when he got there. Hart added that the incident is just further proof that the company doesn’t fully appreciate him.

Despite their well-documented problems in the past, Triple H and Bret Hart have enjoyed an improved relationship in more recent times, after The Hitman appeared on Raw back in September 2024.

Rikishi Calls Out WWE Over Bret Hart Incident

On the latest episode of his Off The Top podcast, Hart’s fellow WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi threw his support behind the Canadian legend. Rikishi said that there should have been someone there to look after Hart, commenting that “you can’t disrespect an icon like that.”

“Hell, I’d just open the back door and let 200 Samoans come through with our own beach chairs, and we just post up wherever the fuck we want to post up. That’s what I do. You already know that,” he said. “Next time, Bret, just tell them to open the back door…

I’m assuming there should be a contact for Bret in the office, somebody that could take care of him. You can’t disrespect an icon like Bret Hart like that.”

However, not everyone has been supportive. One former WWE Superstar took aim at Bret Hart for “bitching and complaining.”
