Rikishi Calls On WWE To “Do The Right Thing”

Rikishi WWE Hall Of Fame

Rikishi wants a round of applause for WWE.

During his time in The Bloodline, Jey Uso reached a whole new level of stardom. While some expected the shine to fade when he moved to Raw in the second half of 2023, Uso has gone from strength to strength.

Despite this, he’s yet to win a singles title, causing his father Rikishi to wonder whether the star should leave WWE and go to AEW.

On September 9th, Jey defeated Pete Dunne, Ilja Dragunov, and Braun Strowman to become the number one contender for Bron Breakker’s Intercontinental Title. Given Uso’s popularity, many fans are calling for him to finally be crowned champion.

Rikishi Has Message For WWE

During a recent episode of his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi is glad Jey is challenging for the Intercontinental Champion before telling the company to do the right thing.

“Let’s get a round of applause on that one. I hope they do the right thing, I guess. When I voice my opinion, damn, boy, my forehead starts sweating. I can feel all the heat coming my way.

I’m just speaking as a father, though. Tell me any other father would not be speaking up for their son or their daughter. So let’s see what happens. We’ll see what can possibly happen. The way I see the tables turning, I see it turning for the Yeet Man, and then we’ll see from there. Or it might be an outside interference, or I don’t know, it could be another Bloodline member.

There’s so many ways we can go with this. This is just my humble opinion,”

Meanwhile, during a recent appearance at Comic-Con Northern Ireland (via Monopoly Events), Rikishi said he was reserving judgment on Vince McMahon until watching the upcoming docuseries on his former boss. He added that he wants to keep his happy memories of the McMahons and everyone deserves a second chance.
