Ricochet Blasts Bold Claim By WWE Executive About AEW

Ricochet

Ricochet wasn’t happy about a comment made by WWE’s Nick Khan regarding AEW wrestlers.

It was in the summer of 2024 when former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet decided to walk away from WWE after six years in the company and join AEW.

While in AEW, Ricochet has had a lengthy feud with Swerve Strickland that saw Ricochet go from being a face to a heel. Ricochet also had an incredible match at AEW Dynasty with Kenny Omega & “Speedball” Mike Bailey for Omega’s International Title.

Even though the cocky high-flier has yet to win gold in AEW, he is being featured heavily by the company while the fans love to boo him.

There were comments made by WWE’s President Nick Khan on the Bill Simmons podcast where Nick refused to mention AEW’s Tony Khan (no relation) by name, and Nick also suggested that WWE will talk to some wrestlers about coming there when they can talk to them.

“In terms of the other wrestling promotional company, they have a lot of talented wrestlers and we’re happy about that. When, contractually, they are available to talk to and have conversations with, assume a number of them will come over.

Nothing but respect to the father who finances it and owns the Jaguars and all those other things.”

The father referenced by Nick Khan is Shahid Khan, who is a billionaire and did finance AEW as Nick said. However, Tony Khan is the man who has run AEW since it launched in January 2019.

Ricochet Not Impressed By Nick Khan’s Comments

Those comments by Nick Khan may upset some people within AEW and throughout the pro wrestling business, but many of them might not be willing to share their opinion publicly. However, Ricochet did a quote tweet on X/Twitter with a strong reaction.

Oh man, these guys f**king suck.

It’s not known if Ricochet was specifically talking about WWE or Nick Khan himself, but he certainly didn’t seem to like what Nick said.

Ricochet seemed to enjoy the chaos that his comment was causing because he did a follow-up post on X:

“Haha all the losers who are getting worked up over this”
