Ricky Starks Threatens To Sue Over Viral Photo
Ricky Starks is not a happy man after a photo of him accompanying Cody Rhodes at the WWE Royal Rumble leaked online leading to all sorts of speculation about the AEW star’s future.
Cody Rhodes made his big comeback to WWE at the Royal Rumble in January after missing seven months due to an injury. Rhodes made the most of his return as he won the men’s Rumble match and booked himself into the main event of WrestleMania 39 where he will take on Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
But after the show, many online were struck by a photo showing Ricky Starks with Rhodes backstage at the event, but Ricky Starks doesn’t think it should have become such an issue.
Speaking to fellow AEW star Swerve Strickland on the Swerve City Podcast, Starks questioned why people care where he is or what he does in his spare time and says he was supporting a friend:
“What y’all do care about is where I go in my off time and what other pay-per-views I show up at. So leave me alone, alright? You got to have real friends. Support real friends. The picture is great. It’s so good. I look so jacked like I’m about to rob a bank. The First 48, that’s what it was.
“I’m in the process of maybe suing Alamodome and getting some money out of it because how crazy is that? How are you a security guard, and you go, you know what I got? Rewind the tape. Let me show you right quick. Let me show you right quick.”
Cody Rhodes has also discussed the viral photo and said that he won’t be taking friends to WWE shows anymore and noted that Starks should have “stayed his butt on the bus.”
