Ricky Saints Finds Out First WWE Title Challenger

Ricky Saints now knows who the first challenger is for his NXT North American Title as he prepares for his first WrestleMania weekend in WWE.

After a few run-ins with his former AEW colleague Shawn Spears, a match was made between Spears and Ricky Saints for the April 1 edition of NXT with Spears’ NXT North American Championship on the line.

Saints survived interference from The Culling to drop Spears with his roshambo to pick up the win and his first championship in WWE in just his third match since joining the company.

However, Ricky Saints’ celebration was cut incredibly short as another ex-AEW star reared his head. Ethan Page lived up to his “all ego” nickname as he stole the spotlight by attacking Saints and standing tall with the NXT North American Title belt as the show went off the air.

Ricky Saints Faces Familiar Opponent

On the April 15 edition of NXT, a fatal four way match took place to find Saints’ first challenger for his title at NXT Stand & Deliver. Wes Lee, Lexis King, Ethan Page, and Eddy Thorpe squared off for that title match and in the end it was Page who emerged as the winner. Page will now face Ricky Saints in the only singles match at NXT Stand & Deliver. Shawn Michaels has explained why the NXT show is being packed with multi-person matches.
