Rich Swann Suspended By TNA, Enters Rehab
Rich Swann has voluntarily entered into a substance abuse rehabilitation program.
As first reported by POST Wrestling, Rich Swann was arrested on June 8th in Altamonte Springs, Florida. The star was subsequently charged with charged with disorderly public intoxication and causing a disturbance.
According to the report, TNA only found out about the arrest when contacted for comment on August 19th.
Police were initially called when Swann “forcibly attempted” to enter an apartment at around 9:50 pm. In the report filed by Zane Hoskins of the Altamonte Springs Police Department, the resident who lives in the apartment said they were alerted to someone trying to get in by their son.
“When my son… started yelling for me to come to the door, I came out of the bathroom and heard the loud banging so I went to my room and grabbed my handgun,” the man who lives in the apartment told police. “I announced that I had a gun and for whoever was banging on my door to leave.”
In response, Swann shouted, “This is my house!” The resident then opened the door and flashed his gun, causing Swann to back off. Swann could have mistaken the address for his own, as his apartment is a short walk away.
Police then received another call from a woman who claimed she was followed by Swann. The TNA star had initially run into nearby woods after being confronted by the resident at the apartment.
“I heard a male trying to talk to me. [Swann] started following me and I asked him to stop.”
Swann responded, “What do you mean stop following you?”
“So I started running as he followed me up to my door but I managed to get inside and lock it before he could get in,”
After being located, Swann was taken back to the first apartment, where he again allegedly tried to kick the door in. Police then used FaceTime to confirm that Swann was the man who had previously tried to break in.
Hoskins noted in his report that Swann was incoherent and appeared to be intoxicated, while he could smell alcohol on his breath. When asked how many drinks he’d had containing alcohol Swann replied “A lot.”
After being taken to the John E. Polk Correction Facility, Swann was released the following day following a £250 bond.

Following his most recent arrest, Swann wrestled at TNA Against All Odds six days later. Swann has continued to wrestle for TNA and on the independent scene, with his most recent match coming on August 18th.
