Ric Flair’s WWE Return Confirmed

Ric Flair

Ric Flair will appear in a new WWE project.

On January 10th, it was reported that Ric Flair could be on the verge of returning to WWE. According to the report, the Nature Boy’s name had been discussed backstage, signalling that a return to television could follow.

The report from Mike Johnson came after it was noted that a planned appearance for AEW in January was scrapped. Flair had been under contract with the company via a deal involving his energy drink company, however, that deal was quietly brought to an end in 2024.

Flair hasn’t been a regular for WWE since being released from his contract in 2021, although he appeared on Raw XXX in January 2023 before inducting the Great Muta into the Hall of Fame later that same year.

Ric Flair Films Content For WWE

As reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Ric Flair has filmed content for WWE’s upcoming LFG (Legends & Future Greats) series for A&E. The show is set to be an updated version of Tough Enough, with young talents competing for a contract under the guidance of legends such as Triple H, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker, and Mickie James.

There’s no word on when the series will debut.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Flair appears closer than ever to her own WWE return after a vignette hyping her comeback aired on the January 17th edition of SmackDown. Flair has been out of action since suffering a major knee injury in a match against Asuka in December 2023.
