Ric Flair Sends Bizarre Threat To John Cena

John Cena WWE

Ric Flair has sent a warning to John Cena.

Although it’s been almost forgotten due to his shock heel turn, John Cena won the men’s Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Should Cena dethrone current champion Cody Rhodes, he’ll hold the record for the most World Championship wins with 17, finally surpassing Ric Flair.

While most historians claim Flair climbed to the top of the mountain on more than 20 occasions, WWE has settled on the number 16.

On social media, Flair has now shared a clip of him reacting to Cena winning his 16th World Championship at the 2017 Royal Rumble, with a caption challenging Cena to go through him to get to 17.

John Cena Will Have To Go Through Me To Get To 17! Just Saying! WOOOOO!”

John Cena Isn’t Ric Flair’s First Choice

The surprising message comes after Ric Flair said John Cena wouldn’t be his first choice to break his record. Unsurprisingly, Flair said he would rather his daughter Charlotte be the first Superstar to win 17 World Titles before discussing his respect for Cena.

The Nature Boy added that Cena is “one of the greats of our business” before describing him as “special.”

Currently, Charlotte Flair is a 14-time world champion, but The Queen will get the chance to go one away from her father’s record when she challenges Tiffany Stratton for the WWE Women’s Title at WrestleMania 41.
